ABOUT OUR SESSIONS
We offer virtual training sessions for those who can't make it to our physical locations
Glice | Workout | Recovery Room Sessions:
These 2-hour and 10 minute sessions consist of 1 hour on the glice, 40 minutes working, and 30 minutes in the recovery room. What’s do we have for recovery? A Sauna, cold plunge, hip compression heating wrap, Radiate boots, massage guns, massage balls, rollers, free protein shakes, gatorade, water, coconut water and all natural juice cleanse powder. Recovery is very important to get the most out of your training and to be able to train more.
Small Group Ice Lessons
These sessions have 2-4 people. Like privates, we’ll go over everyone’s strengths and weaknesses. All players will receive focused attention for what they need work on. As a group, we will do techniques drills, then lots of competing and game situation drills, because those are super important for development. We want our players to be good in games, not just in practice.
Mindset | IQ CALLS
We will discuss scientific mindset hacks, confidence hacks, habits, and how to get the most out of your mind and body. We will start by creating a plan. Within the plan we will have goals and deadlines to complete the goals. These sessions should help our players work harder, play more confident, and perform better through highs and lows of hockey games and in their everyday life. These sessions are meant to help players in all aspects of their life, not just sports. Most athletes mental state holds them back, it can be the opposite for players who put the work in. For the IQ side of the call we will watch some film and go over ways to become a smarter hockey player.
PRIVATE LESSONS
First, we ask and evaluate what the client's biggest strengths and weaknesses are as a player. Then we will really target what they need to work on the most with their strengths. We will also work on some of the basic skills all players need to work on like hockey sense, skating, and handling the puck. Drills will be explained with detail, how the skill can be used in games, because that’s what we’re training for!
Power Skating
We'll be focusing on a variety of skating techniques including forward stride, backwards stride, pivots, crossovers, C cuts, lateral crossovers, weight shifts, weight shifts to a crossover, tight turns, and game situation skating drills. It's crucial to have proper skating technique for a faster, smoother, more controlled, and efficient performance, which can make a significant difference in games. Mastering your skating skills can enhance all other aspects of your game, making you a better player overall."
Glice Sessions:
Clients can choose to wear skates or shoes, and we'll work on multiple in-tight skills since space gets taken away quickly, especially at higher levels. Glice is an excellent tool for working on shooting, stickhandling, passing, and hockey sense techniques. We'll also run read-and-react hockey sense drills and competitions to keep it fun.
Glice | Workout
In these 1 hour and 30 minute sessions, we'll spend an hour on the glice, and 40 minutes working out. On the glice we will tailor the training to the specific needs of the players. We cover stickhandling, shooting, passing, game situation, hockey sense, and reaction drills on the glice. In the gym we will also target the players specific needs. We cover hockey specific movements, speed, agility, strength, balance and control.
Glice Competition Session
We will work on a bunch of different competitions on the glice to prepare our players for the pressure in real games. These sessions are fun and really good for players to come through in important games.
Compete | Hockey Sense Skates:
The entire session will be made up of specific small-area games and drills that challenge the brain in high-paced game situations. At higher levels, you need to make quick decisions, so it's crucial to practice. We'll also focus on creating space with the puck and getting open without it, as there's less time and space. Clients love these skates because they get to compete and have a ton of fun.
Workout Sessions:
We'll evaluate our clients' strengths and weaknesses to train what they need most, like speed, agility, control, balance, power, explosiveness, etc. It's crucial to do exercises and movements specific to the sport you're training for, so we'll target the specific muscles needed to become faster, quicker, stronger, more conditioned, powerful, and explosive on the ice. We'll also work on injury prevention by practicing form and recovery methods, like breathing only through your nose to oxygenate your blood faster and recover faster. We create a positive and fun environment with competitions like races and plank-offs in the gym.
Clinics
Each clinic will begin with technique training, followed by in-game focused drills, and last, we will practice compete drills. Compete drills are not only one of the most significant ways to take your game to the next level, they are an overall favorite because of how fun they are! Compete drills pit players against players. Certain skills can only be mastered when players compete against one another. Football Skill Sessions:
In these sessions we ask and evaluate our players and determine their strengths and weaknesses. Then, we focus on improving those areas along with the fundamental skills that every football player needs. Our training is specialized for each player's position.
Football Speed & Agility
We'll be focusing on enhancing our players' football-specific speed and agility. As you know, having quick feet and being able to change directions fast is crucial in football. Our primary objective is to help our players become faster when running straight ahead and quicker when moving side to side. More importantly, we'll demonstrate how the drills we use can be applied in actual games. This way, our players will be better equipped to perform well during gameplay, rather than just in practice.
Training Plans:
Our personalized training plans ($50) will improve players games from the comfort of their own homes. The plans cater to players specific needs. Before creating the plan, we'll send evaluation questions to hear about your strengths, weaknesses, and equipment available. This way, we can personalize it to your skill set along with needs that every player should work on. There will be a clear schedule to follow weekly. The schedule will include workouts, stickhandling, shooting, mindset, and hockey IQ drills. If players have any questions about the plan or need any support, you will be able to contact us anytime.
Skating and Skills Technique Only:
We'll work on specific skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting techniques. We'll start with overspeed drills to work on all four skills, followed by a step-by-step explanation of each drill with the technique needed. For example, if a client is working on a pull-in shot, we'll explain each step at an ultra-slow pace. Once the player feels confident with the technique, we'll increase the tempo and take video to review together.
Hockey IQ Zoom Calls:
In these calls, we'll discuss strategies based on your position, whether you're a defenseman or forward. We'll talk about what the other player is trying to do to beat you. If you're a defenseman, we'll go over strategies for forwards so you can think like one and anticipate their next move. We'll do the reverse for forwards. Knowing strategies for both positions is vital to becoming an elite player. Then, we’ll do a quick decision-making drill. Lastly, we’ll go over any questions you might have.
